Event Description:
Our first temporary exhibit at the new museum will be about local foodways. In conjunction with the exhibit, the Brenham Heritage Museum is holding a series of five food tastings with local Brenham businesses. This event will be a mix of good food & drink and the local history of how cuisine shaped our community.
The tasting events are as follows:
December 1 - Meat! with LJ's Texas BBQ & Must Be Heaven
December 15 - Holiday Traditions with Thomas Craft Confections, Independence Coffee, & Tilted Windmill
January 5 - New Contributions with Jet Set Chocolates
January 19 - Beer! with Mike Hopkins Distributing, Brazos Valley Brewing, & Brenham Charcuterie Boards
February 9 - African American Cuisine with L.A. Chicken Shack & Wild Flour Bakery
Season passes that include all five tastings or individual tickets are on sale now! Brenham Heritage Museum members get a discount on both season passes and/or individual tickets. Season passes are $175 and individual tickets are $40 for BHM members. Non-members can purchase a season pass for $250 and an individual ticket for $55. Tickets include food, beverages, a brief history talk, and museum admission. All tastings will be capped at 50 people.
Stop by the museum Wednesday - Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM to get your tickets. Parking is located behind the museum building. Additional parking is located off Clinton Street in front of the BHM Bus Depot Gallery and to the east of our office building.
