Event Description:
4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Advisory Council-Gathering Place, all members are welcome to observe.
5:50-6:30 p.m. Youth Mentor Lesson, All are welcome to come listen and learn. The topic will be "Apiary Setup and Configurations"
6:30-7:30 p.m. Covered Dish Meal. Please bring a dish to share with the group. We provide drinks. Last month we were scraping the bottom of the dishes to feed everyone. If possible, please bring just a little extra this month.
7:30-8:30 p.m. Meeting Presentation by teo apprentices Jeremiah and Adrian Shipley on "Beekeeping and the Things I've Learned."
Tim Elliott will also be presenting on House Bill 1293 which is the update to the current AG131 law that covers Beekeeping in the State of Texas. More details on the TBA website in their BLOG. TBA's goal is to protect beekeepers and the beekeeping industry in Texas, not only in 2017, but well into the foreseeable future. We believe that passage of HB 1293 will be a positive step toward that reaching that goal.
