In the 1850s, without electricity, houses were set up for the seasons. You had to get ready for the weather. Winter's heavy drapes and wool rugs are put out to help keep in the warmth. In the spring everything must be cleaned and aired out to freshen up the home.
Here at Barrington we do our spring cleaning in June so you may see us washing dishes and glassware or cleaning and waxing the furniture throughout the Jones’ home. Activities will be ongoing and as needed, so please come on out and lend us a hand.
