The Brenham Presbyterian Church, in partnership with Shred Nations, will be hosting a shred day for community residents of Washington County to shred their confidential documents securely on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 900 S. Jackson St., Brenham, TX, 77833, in the Brenham Presbyterian Church parking lot. Rain or shine, the Shred Day will occur regardless of weather.
Community members are encouraged to bring their unwanted confidential documents – including banking statements, old tax return files, medical records, credit card receipts, etc. – to be shredded on site. Each attendee will be limited to 100 pounds (three bankers boxes) of documents to be shredded. Machine paper, letterhead, white tablet paper, computer printout paper, laser print paper, and other miscellaneous white paper and staples are accepted.
VHS tapes, CDs and binders will not be accepted for shredding.
In exchange for the shredding service, attendees are asked to bring a monetary donation in the form of cash or check written out to the Brenham Presbyterian Church. Donations will pay for the shredding and other service projects.
