When Kuwait was invaded in August of 1990, Eman Blair and her family lost every sense of safety, shelter, and well-being. As non-citizens of any nation, they were left in limbo without protection, identity, or a place to call their own. Through the decisive leadership and compassion of President Bush, they survived the turmoil, horror of war, and the deep uncertainty that followed. His unwavering resolve translated into quick action - and his courage became contagious, inspiring the American people, the U.S. military, and a nation that stood up not just for its own freedom, but for the freedom of others. Because of his leadership - and the opportunity it made possible - Eman Blair ultimately became a proud U.S. citizen. Inspired by his service and his deep sense of duty, she chose to give back by joining the U.S. Intelligence Community, dedicating her career to protecting the country that gave so much to her when she needed it the most. Eman Blair is a former Intelligence Community Senior Executive who retired from the Central Intelligence Agency after more than two decades of distinguished service. In recognition of her impactful service, she received the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal. Outside of her service in the CIA, Eman has also served in numerous corporate executive positions and as a high-level consultant to major federal agencies. Join us as we hear Eman’s story of the Iraqi invasion, occupation, the subsequent liberation by coalition forces, and the rebuilding of Kuwait. The event is free but seating is limited. Please register your attendance at Bush41.org/events.
