Independence Historical Society Monthly Meeting

Monthly meeting of the Society.  Professor Michael Parrish, Bowers Professor of American History at Baylor University, will be guest speaker.  His topic will be "The Citizen-Soldiers of Baylor & Independence in the Civil War".  Dr. Parrish has written & edited several books on the Civil War and Southern History.  At Baylor he teaches courses on Texas History, the Civil War, and Religion & War in U. S. History.
Visitors are welcome to hear Dr. Parrish and consider membership in the Historical Society.
