Dr. Dennis Huston from Rice University will be the speaker at a two part lecture series on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. He will use the Trevor Nunn 1996 film version of the play to examine the psychological forces of masculine and feminine and desire and love. The play is considered Shakespeare's greatest comedy and focuses on the world of the "closed heart.". These lectures will present the complex themes of the play. Professor Huston has taught at Rice for over forty years. He was named "Professor of the Year" in the U.S. and Canada by the Carnegie Foundation in 1989-90.
