Professor Charles Porter will talk about the exhibit, Enduring Women, that was done as an undergraduate creative research project at St. Edward's University. A combination of history and photography majors gathered oral histories and field photographs. The project was over a year in the making and was displayed at the Bob Bullock Texas States History Museum. The women highlighted are women who are holding on to family land and demonstate that land ownership in rural Texas has never been for the weak in body or spirit. They are living examples of determination, courage, and stewardship of the land we all want to protect.
Charles Porter is an author, speaker, Assistant Professor at St. Edward's University , and a testifying Water Rights and Real Estate expert.
