Shimmer Flute Choir Concert

The Shimmer Flute Choir performs throughout the greater Houston area, including Zoo Lights, and Sam Houston Park. Performances range from classical, spiritual, and pop culture pieces. At this concert they will be debuting an arrangement of "Bluebonnets" the Texas State Flower Song, originally composed here in Chappell Hill in the 1930s. See a variety of flutes from concert flute, piccolo, alto flute, bass flute, and perhaps even a contra bass flute. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. Seating is limited to 100 people. Funds raised will help CHHS with preservation, and Shimmer with music and equipment purchases. Performance will be on the recently renovated stage at the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum.
