Job Description
Applied Energy Technology Corp. (AETC) is seeking a hands-on ERP Systems Analyst to support, configure, and customize Rootstock ERP on the Salesforce platform. This role focuses on system configuration, reporting, and light customization to support manufacturing, inventory, finance, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate understands manufacturing operations and ERP data flow, not just Salesforce administration.
Key Responsibilities
Rootstock ERP
  • Configure, maintain, and support Rootstock ERP modules, including:
  • Inventory Management
  • Bills of Material (BOMs)
Routings
  • Work Orders & MRP
  • Purchasing & Receiving
  • Costing (standard and/or actual)
Accounting
  • Translate business and operational requirements into Rootstock configuration
  • Support users with system enhancements and process improvements
  • Assist with data validation, cleanup, and migrations
  • Troubleshoot transactional and configuration-related issues
Salesforce Administration
  • Administer Salesforce org supporting Rootstock ERP
Create and maintain:
  • Custom objects, fields, and record types
  • Page layouts and Lightning Experience configurations
  • User roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings
  • Build and maintain Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and approval processes
  • Support sandbox testing and production deployments
Reporting & Analytics
Build and maintain reports and dashboards related to:
  • Inventory levels and accuracy
  • Work-in-process (WIP)
  • Production performance
  • Purchasing and supplier metrics
Capacity Planning
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests from operations and management
  • Ensure reports accurately reflect real-world operational data
  • Understand Rootstock’s data model to avoid misleading or incomplete reporting
Integration & Data Support
  • Support integrations between Rootstock, Salesforce, and external systems
  • Assist with data imports, exports, and reconciliation
  • Understand data dependencies and transactional impacts across modules
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator supporting enterprise business environments
  • 1-2 years of supporting manufacturing operations, production planning, supply chain, and inventory management processes
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and ERP business processes, including:
    • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Routings
    • Work Orders
    • Inventory Transactions
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Proven experience building Salesforce reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining Salesforce Flows and automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership teams
  • Previous experience with Rootstock ERP is strongly preferred 
  • Experience using Salesforce Data Loader, data migration tools, and ETL processes
  • Strong understanding of MRP logic, production planning, and manufacturing cost accounting
  • Experience participating in ERP implementations, system integrations, or post-go-live operational support
Additional qualifications (not required)
  • Experience developing in Apex and/or Lightning Web Components experience
  • SQL experience or advanced data analysis skills
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity operating in compliance-driven environments (e.g., audit controls, access controls)
  • Rootstock reporting and advanced data model knowledge and system configuration a plus
What This Role Is Not
  • Not a pure Salesforce developer role
  • Not a helpdesk-only administrative role
Education & Certifications
  • Applicant must be a 'US Person' as defined by ITAR (22CFR § 120.62) due to required access to ITAR-controlled technical data; therefore, candidates must be a U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green card holders) or Protected Individuals (asylees/refugees).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (preferred, not required)
  • Rootstock training or certification (preferred, not required)
