We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins, in the position of AETC Technician.
 
AETC designs, develops, qualifies, and manufactures a variety of product applications, which includes fire extinguisher cartridges, which provide the energy that operates the fire extinguishers on military and commercial aircraft. Other products manufactured at AETC include SMDC initiators, cutters, piston-pusher, piston pullers, valves, and pyrotechnic time delays. Our products, in some cases, are intended to operate explosive devices such as EEDs (Electro-Explosive Devices), EBWs (Exploding Bridge Wires), EFIs (Exploding Foil Initiators), and other similar devices.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assemble, load, and inspect CADs, impulse cartridges, and squibs in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Handle energetic materials used for aircraft safety and emergency actuation systems.
  • Perform precision assemble operations including component insertions, crimping, staking sealing, and torque verification.
  • Maintain detailed production, inspection, and traceability documentation.
  • Support scrap, rework, and safe disposition of energetic hardware.
  • Follow ESD, FOD, and explosives safety controls.
  • Perform Final Assembly of units.

Required/Essential
Qualifications/Knowledge, skills & abilities		 Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and understand complex drawing and assembly instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of common hand tool operation, solder wire, torque tools and microscope.
  • Ability to use common hand tools to assemble electromechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Must be able to use Microscopes, screw drivers, torque tools and other common hand tools.
  • Experience with soldering irons is highly desired.
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and must be organized
  • Must be capable of qualifying and maintaining an ATF explosive handlers license.
  • Must be a U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR (22 CFR § 120.62), - be lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or protected individuals (asylees/refugees).
