SAVE THE DATE! Governor's Small Business Forum on June 4

 
            The purpose of hosting the Governor’s Small Business Forum in our community is to provide local small business owners with information to help them succeed in today’s economy. Businesses will have the chance to network with others to exchange stories and ideas about how they have become successful, and the challenges they may have had to overcome to get where they are.
                The Brenham/Washington County Chamber of Commerce has invited the Giddings Chamber and the Burleson County Chamber to participate in this forum, and invite their local businesses to attend this event.
                Approximately 300 people will be in attendance including small business owners and managers, representatives from state agencies, local elected officials, marketing partners and more. Exhibitor spaces and sponsorship opportunities are available.
                The agenda will feature speakers on topics such as an Oil & Gas Industry Update, the Affordable Care Act and how it impacts small businesses, the Bio Corridor, How to Convert Leads into Customers, and more.  State Rep. Lois Kolkhorst will be present to greet attendees, and Senator Glenn Hegar has been invited to help present the “Business of the Year” award.  (Nominations are currently being sought.)
                A major highlight of the event will be a keynote presentation by Dr. Rick Rigsby.  Rigsby is a highly-sought speaker nationwide, formerly a business professor at Texas A&M University, whose presentations are always high-impact and often life-changing.
                Tickets are only $25 for Chamber members, purchased in advance.  Reserved table sponsorships are $250 for a table of 6 and several benefits including recognition at the event.
