Small Business Forum June 3

      On June 3, the Washington County Chamber and Burleson County Chamber will co-host the second annual Small Business Forum in Brenham, sponsored by Bluebonnet Electric, Brenham National Bank, and Citizens State Bank. The forum is a half-day event designed to provide small business owners an opportunity to gain knowledge and contacts to grow in today’s changing economy.
Attendees will hear an Oil & Gas Industry update from Todd Staples, president of the Texas Oil & Gas Trade Association; effective ways to close more business in less time from Adam Boyd of Sandler Sales Training; how to make money using the social networking site, LinkedIn, from Jake Russell of Magnolia Realty, featured on HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” TV show; and Charlie Adams of PricewaterhouseCoopers will address generational differences in the workplace.  All of these are valuable topics for a small business.
      A major highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Small Business of the Year Award for 2015. Last year’s winners were Brenham National Bank and RE/MAX Advantage.
      Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. with the forum speakers beginning at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is included, and the forum will conclude at 1:00 p.m. at the Blinn College Student Center Banquet Room in Brenham.
      Tickets are $49 until May 27 ($69 after that date and at the door). Corporate Sponsor tables are available for $490, which includes tickets for 8 people plus your company name will be displayed at the event, online and included on the printed program.
