ELECTRICIAN JOURNEYMAN
Monday – Friday
8 hour shift
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Capable of running a service truck for both residential and commercial services
- Diagnoses, repairs, installs and maintains commercial, industrial and electrical equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings
- Work on projects that involve building, renovating, or constructing new electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical wiring
- Perform high voltage and low voltage electrical work as needed
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion.
- Research and develop specifications for electric construction equipment, vehicles & supplies
- Develop specifications for electrical construction work to be contracted out
- Oversee local, state & federal regulatory compliance related to the area of assignment
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electrical wiring, equipment appliances, apparatus and fixtures
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge
- Ensure job site is kept clean and all trash is removed at the end of each day
- Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
- Delegate tasks to the scheduled apprentice
- Preform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced
- Promote and maintain safety standards
- Informs supervisors of any job related inventory needed; picks up inventory as needed from local supply houses using proper purchase order and bookkeeping methods
- Any other electrical related tasks requested by supervisory staff
- Maintains accurate job logs & time cards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial Experience
- Capable of running a service truck for both residential and commercial services
- Apprentice with 3+ year’s experience or Journeyman Electrician certification
- Proven experience as an Industrial, Residential and Commercial electrical work
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of high and low voltage systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical issues
- Experience in industrial and construction site settings
- Expertise in electrical work, blueprint reading, and both high and low voltage systems
- Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman License (Required)
