American Overhead Door Co. was originally started by Debra's father Kaylor Coonse in 1972. He started installing overhead doors in Houston in 1968. Then moved his family to Brenham from Houston in 1970 and just 5 short years later they opened Brenham's first overhead door company, still located 6 miles North on Hwy 36 where we proudly displays all of the American Flags. We were known as Brenham Overhead Door Co. and later changed the name to American Overhead Door Co., Inc. He would later enlarge his business by opening another location in Bryan, Texas and then later another location in Kerrville, Texas both of which he sold. Kaylor still works at American Overhead Door Co., Inc. at 7405 Hwy 36 N. American Overhead Door Company sells, services, and installs all types of overhead doors both residential and commercial, along with electric operators. American Overhead also has another company known as Gate Keeper added in March 2010. Gate Keeper is at this same location and sells, services and installs gate operators both solar and electric. We stand by our American made doors and as always it is our goal to make the customer happy. American Overhead Door Co has been providing courteous, reliable, knowledgeable, professional and reasonable service to our community for over 40 years. We have a beautiful showroom with working doors and electric door operators and gate operators inside. And remember ''If it is not American then it is not U.S.''
We are located on Highway 36 N 6 miles North of Brenham or 6 miles South of Somerville. We are on the West side of Highway 36 N with all of the American Flags.
