HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$18.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and audit personnel, medical, and confidential files.
- Manage and organize annual employee reviews.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims and monthly reporting.
- Schedule and lead regular safety meetings in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Create and track disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Ensure company compliance with Federal and State HR laws.
- Address and resolve employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage new hire and separation processing.
- File monthly and quarterly 941 and 940 tax forms.
- Handle payroll processing and 401(k) entries related to payroll.
- Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Foster good interoffice relations and effective communication.
- Take on additional projects and duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience.
- 1-3 years of prior HR experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Sage 300 knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic payroll, tax, and wage laws.
- Ability to work independently with indirect supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated motivation, reliability, and effective teamwork skills.
