Monday – Thursday
7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday
7:00 am – 3:00 pm, some occasional Saturday’s
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Read blueprints, drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material, roll material, weld material)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Advise management on needed actions
- Maintain effective communication with the Weld Lead to achieve desired results
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including overhead cranes and cutting torches
- Follow U/L Guidelines
- Keep a safe and clean work area

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of two (2) years of industry experience preferred
- Management experience preferred
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, TIG, MMA etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Deftness, attention to detail, and detail oriented
- Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
- Effective communication skills
- Time management skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to stand for multiple hours
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Familiarity with Warehouse environment
- Experience operating forklifts
- Must be able to pass a 1G Weld test
